Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground clove
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the Latte

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk dairy or plant based
  • 2-3 tbsp gingerbread syrup adjust to taste
  • ice cubes
  • whipped cream optional
  • sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish

Instructions
 

Make the Gingerbread Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and molasses over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool completely. Strain using a fine mesh strainer if you desire a smoother syrup.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
